PRAJA has tried to generate a debate about the institution called prison:

What are these places called prisons?

The question is not superfluous because while people know theoretically what prisons are, MOST people have NEVER seen the inside of a prison

Prisons are institutions of the State and are the most prevalent way of punishing offenders.

There is scarcely anything positive that can be said about prisons.

They are negative, they are oppressive and they damage most of the people who are inside them one way or another (including staff)

If judges who sent people to prison saw the inside of prisons and how they are run they may seek changes both in sentencing options and prison management
